ELECTROCYCLE WEEE COLLECTION & RECYCLING PROCESS

Collecting WEEE from You
Our collection drivers will pick your WEEE up on a pre-arranged date. It will then be referenced according to our coding system and delivered to our nearest regional WEEE recycling centre. The collection vehicle type will depend on the type, volume, size and quantity of WEEE that you need recycling and where you’re located.

Electrocycle’s Infrastructure

Due to Electrocycle being contracted to collect WEEE on behalf of the largest BtoB focused WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme in the UK (www.b2bcompliance.org.uk), we have been able to establish a nationwide infrastructure of strategically located recycling centres so that we can minimise transportation costs to our customers (often sharing such costs on a marginal basis with others) as well as minimising carbon emissions from vehicles.

Recycling

Recycling involves taking WEEE and treating it to create raw materials that can then be reintroduced into the manufacturing processes of new and/or different items.

Green & Economical Sense

We believe that in most cases organisations can minimise their environmental impact and carbon footprint without incurring additional costs. Recycling waste, such as electrical or electronic scrap, not only reduces the need for limited virgin materials and reduces carbon emissions from manufacturing processes, but can also save organisations money as landfill costs, and landfill taxes continue to rise. Furthermore, as landfill and hazardous waste landfill gate fees rapidly rise due to green taxes and decreasing numbers, the costs of disposal and transport to these sites will become more and more expensive.
